我在伦敦工作的日子
On my way to work in the morning
Been very busy with my work since summer internship starts. But!!I love my life. It's definitely interesting to date especially today!Boom threats!!Heard that staffs are evacuated from the canary wharf building. Luckily I didn't move there yet! There are too much to blog but not much pictures as it is prohibited to take pictures in any building. I will try to summarise it up!
Volunteer!!
First week of the summer internship was full of trainings!Very intense I would say. We learned about what is investment banking, equities and much more. One thing I need to stress on is never underestimate microsoft excel. It is a very powerful software and it is the most widely used software within the organisation. Meet lots of people, lots of networking sessions = lots of beers and drinks. We did some community service on the first week as well which is playing with kids in the school. LOL
Having lunch by river Thames.
London Bridge!
On my way home after work. Look carefully (I suggest you enlarge the picture). Tower bridge is still functioning very well.
On my way back home!
Finally I started to work at my desk after a week of intense training. Thanks to my buddy who shows me around the office. Typical office desk, with a desktop and a phone. It is very comfortable and I love the coffee machine in the office. LOL. We have interns networking sessions (free drinks!!I am sure everyone loves it) once in two weeks, talks etc etc..activities coming up are bowling sessions and interbank touch rugby competition!I hope I can contribute well to BAML despite my size. HAHAH!!
Food hunting at Borough market with my housemate
So..whats going on during weekend?Sleep as much as I can after hanging out with interns on Friday night. Besides that, shop for glossaries, things that I like and get some nice food at borough market. Oh yea, still looking for a camera.LOL!!and of course!go for sports!
Thats more or less..hope to update soon!time to sleep!
p/s: Haven't been shooting for a long time...

What's up lately?
Everyone is heading back to Malaysia and I am staying here for some reasons...It's not too bad though..hibernating at home at the moment..haha..Of course!Enjoying Winbledon, world cup and searching for my favourite toy, Canon EOS 50D!I've change my mind to go ahead with Canon few weeks ago when I decided to give 50D a try...once you grab it..you want it so bad..so better don't grab it..haha..it's going to blow a damn big hole in my pocket..arrghh..
Got to start packing again tomorrow! This time is for a whole new purpose. Nope, not for travelling and enjoying my life. Moving to London tomorrow for two months of summer internship programme. Hope everything goes well..Wish me LUCK!haha...Isn't the building in the picture looks cool??I guess so..at least to me..that's Canary Wharf! But but but!!sadly they are sending me to the HQ based in city centre instead of canary wharf. Not too bad anyway!
Went to the city centre with my brother few days ago to do some shopping before I depart for London and I bump into Birmingham food festival. Here are some pictures!

Greece in 192 Hours
Done with Call of Duty...damn tired after the game. It was a good game though. Back to Greece!Travelled to Greece with bunch of awesome friends (Huai Hao, Terence and Faye) on 1st of June. Good thing is...the volcano in Iceland stays cool and we are so lucky to be able to avoid the riot in Athens. Everything went well! We put quite a lot of effort in planning this trip!well..as usual..Lonely Planet as our reference book and of course lots of on-line resources. I would recommend everyone to give 'Eye Witness Travel' a try. I guess it is better than Lonely Planet. The best thing is entrance fee of tourist attraction sites are free for EU students. Just show them your student cards and they will do the rest!We stayed in youth hostel throughout the trip. Yea..it is youth hostel. However, the rooms are quite decent. It's definitely value for money. They do provide free airport and port transfer as well. Our first stop is Santorini, followed by Mykonos and Athens. No offence to British food, Greek foods are definitely awesome!!Greeks do speak English. Thus, it is not hard to travel around. Santorini and Athens are worth a visit. However, there is nothing much in Mykonos besides party and nudity tolerance beaches. But, we do have lots of fun and excitement there as well. Thanks to Terence for driving us around the island! Here are the pics...hope you all enjoy it. Sorry people, too tired to upload. Nodding off to sleep...More pictures on Facebook!Good night!

What about photography?
Photography has always been one of my biggest hobby and I take it quite seriously, I guess.haha..I still remember the days I played with my dad's Nikon FM2 when I was young. It is such a solid DSLR beautifully crafted by Nikon. Dad do teach me about photography ( shutter speed, aperture etc. etc.) ...I start to get serious on it since year 2009 to be precise. So, who is the hooligan who 'poison' me with photography?!!!?!?!He is my 'xifu' Hiyin Tiong. He teaches me a lot about photography. Many thanks to him! I started to develop a huge interest in photography after a photography trip with Hiyin Tiong, E-jinq, JS Phang, Shu Yi and Jo Lyn last summer at alor star airport and Darul Aman lake. I believe Jo Lyn is a victim as well..haha..
Believe me, I sucked at photography before the trip, not much better now anyway..haha..Purchasing a DSLR and high end lenses doesn't mean that you can take beautiful pictures. Since the launch of entry level DSLR, I believe that a lot of people have a wrong perception that DSLR will guarantee beautiful pictures. It will make things even worst if using a DSLR without the knowledge of using it. Learning photography is an endless, but interesting journey.
Currently I am using my brother's Canon IXUS 850 compact camera. The output was stunning compare to other cameras. It is certainly a value for money compact. I am craving for DSLR at the moment as I felt that I have pushed the compact camera to the limit. Currently I am still wondering whether to go for Canon 50D or Nikon D90. I believe I will go for Nikon D90 as it is cheaper compare to 50D (can't afford 50D anyway)..hahhaa.. and the output was superb. The reason why I consider 50D because Canon seems to have a lot of activities compare to Nikon. Does those activities mean a lot to me?No idea at the moment. Regarding pose-processing, I am using Adobe Photoshop CS4. I am keen to give Lightroom and Photomatix a go as well. Heard that Photomatix is really good in HDR processing. Here are so shots during spring and summer 2010. Hope you all will enjoy it!The picture quality is actually quite low to cater for web page loading.
I am not a pro, nor a photographer. I am just a person who appreciate photography.
